Watched this on Hulu earlier today. It was really enjoyable, fun movie. Some guy, played by Frank Grillo, has to relive one day over and over. Good mix of comedy and action, and doesn't take itself seriously. It also has Mel Gibson and Michelle Yeoh in it. I was in Atlanta in '18, while the Atlanta Underground exterior scenes were being shot. Was in that area on a job for a few days while the scenes were being filmed. But.... not only that, I was also on a job in another part of Atlanta. It was in building not that far from where the exterior scenes were shot. I specifically remember this area because the walls had logos and characters from 8-bit games on the wall. I'd completely forgotten about that until watching the movie. And saw the location where this was filmed. Aside from the Underground exterior scenes, the scenes with the retro 8-bit games, I recognized almost every spot that the movie was filmed at. Another scene, with Grillo sitting on a bench overlooking a pond and the Atlanta skyline, was filmed at the Midtown Reflection at Piedmont Park. The bench isn't really there. This isn't the first time I've been inside a location that almost no one outside the people involved in filming on location would recognize for a movie or show.
Damn... I didn't want to get another "Whoosh -> Media Central" and put it in here by mistake. Oops, sorry. You can move it, and call me stupid if you want.
It's a fun little film. Lots of plotholes and stupid shit, but its got heart and I enjoyed the ride. I actually watched it quite some time ago, as a I believe an early cut was leaked. I wonder if the Hulu version is different...
