You know, this thread really shocked me..seriously Just today I was talking with a few friends about how strict the Japanese were with foreigners. I told them that I have never been to Japan, but for those I know that HAVE been there, they all tell me that the Japanese were very "anal retentive" with anyone that wasnt pure Japanese. Even their brothels won't allow anyone in thats not Japanese. If someone were to tell me on the streets about this youtube video, I would not have believed them for all the money in the world. I have indeed learned something today
The video did mention they've been letting in more folks from India for intel/high-tect sorts of jobs. I doubt that the Japan is going to be anywhere close to the PC [-]hell[/-] haven of the U.S. anytime soon, but they know with their aging population and more women spending less time at home to pop out babies left and right, they need more people from outside sources to fill the jobs openings.
