Yes it is, by the very definition of the word. Just because you believe it to be real doesn't mean everyone else does, Maharaja Dayton. I didn't say you outright advocated anything, I'm just saying it seems that way because of your theological mindset. By the way, don't do the ask a question, answer a question thing. It just makes you look like a douchebag. Dayton, have you stopped fucking dogs for money? ... Didn't THINK so.
First off, LEARN TO QUOTE TAGS, FAGGOT Secondly, learn to read the bible. It's "Judge not, lest ye be judged," not "judge not, but only if you've committed the same sin." Thanks for making Rick's point.
I think the Lord High Dayton just can't come down to the level of us sinners, what with his perfectly clear, beam free vision. Jesus' rules apply to everyone else but Pontifex Maximus Dayton of the Holy See, ya know.
Luke 6:42b "Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye and then shalt thou see clearly to pull the mote that in in thy brethren's eye" Note bolded portions. it says clearly you CAN in fact deal with the mote in your brethren's eye (his sins) AFTER you have dealt with your own.
God - in the New Testament era - expects morality from HIS people (Paul said himself (paraphrased) "what business of mine is it to judge those outside the church?") Why do you expect more than God expects? As for those people in the church - they are, according to your Bible, being built up by the Holy Spirit of God? That being the case, how do we figure he needs YOUR help? or any other human's? Is his arm shortened?
Even where that's true - human interpretation of it most certainly is. If it wasn't, why are there about six or seven different theologies of what constitutes a proper Baptism (to name just one example)?
I figure Sanctitas Dayton wants to teach from the New Testament to the Old. That's incredible! In the most amazing of coincidences, I feel it is my duty to function as God's middle finger! Thy will be done! Sanctus Sanctus, Dominus!
Wow, you can't read at all, can you? "Pulling the mote out" is a metaphor for being of a clear mind to help someone else because you yourself have not only repented from those mistakes, but learned from them--and can have compassion enough to try and help someone without condemning them. Which is something you know nothing about.
I mean can you justify it with something Bibical? sounds to me like you want it to be "feel good Christianity". That is pleasant, nonjudgemental, I'm okay, you're okay Christianity. Which isn't Christianity at all.
How about the story of the whore of Babalyon who nearly gets stoned before Jesus tells them "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"? Dude, just come out and say that you like being a judgmental prick who wants to look down on people to prop his own sorry as up. That would at least be honest.
Dayton would have called her a whore, and then he would have chucked that fucking rock. Afterward, he would have ran over and punched her in the eye, screaming "I'm beam less! BEAM LESS!" in her face.
If Dayton is a troll, you're all falling for it. Congrats, Dayton. If he's not a troll, you're all wasting your time. The problem with Fundamentalists is that they've painted themselves into a corner. If they budge on even one issue, it all unravels from there. For instance, if you believe in a six day creation because you're a literalist, to budge on the six twenty-four hour day figure causes the rest of your literal interpretation to be called into question and they'll never allow that to happen. So, yeah, you'll get the same effect beating your head against a wall. Have fun with that.
If Dayton is a troll, it doesn't matter. I see people as they are. If Dayton is trolling, then I will accept the likelihood that he really feels this way, and that will be how I perceive him. It does him no favors. If, on the other hand, Dayton is not a troll, then I am still addressing the ignorance of a fool, and while pearls cast before swine are wasted, at least I tried.
But if Dayton's an idiot fundy troll who thinks he's a clever fundy troll then mocking him is its own reward, and the odds of that are too high for the house to take bets on the proposition.
They know it's wrong. No person in their right mind would condone the wholesale slaughter of children or truly believes homosexuals don't have some unfortunate mental or emotional issue. They're also messed up. They have no true direction or ultimate purpose for their lives and in some ways I actually do feel sorry for them. What bothers them most though are people who are resolute in Christ. They know they're missing out and it's unfortunate that they are.
Now see, Elwood, this is a troll. It has all of the well placed charged words, the slimy implications, and the obvious "lookitme!" tell-tale all troll posts have. This poor, unfortunate creature thinks it's clever, when all it is, is sad and pathetic. It will never achieve more than what it has, and so it releases it's impotent rage and bitterness on human beings. Dayton's the type of Christian who can't really see his faults and failings. He is the white sepulchre. TLS isn't a Christian at all. He is the wolf in sheep's clothing.
Meanwhile you and the other scum here support the slaughter of children. You're damn right I'm bitter.
We've got a St. Francis of Assisi church here and this aftgenoon we sent a crew over to get reaction from parishoners. When the person setting up the shoot said that they were all happy and celebrating and would be doing so into the evening, I asked, "So they're going to party like it's 1099? "
Exactly. Don't you people get what Dayton is saying? Judgement is to Christianity as space battles are to Star Trek. Both franchises are boring without them. Case closed.
