Brits: how popular is Oasis over in the UK?

    They still selling out venues and such?

    They were popular over here in the mid-late 90's and disappeared off the map all of a sudden.

    Perhaps we shouldn't be asking questions about popular music to an old timer. ;)

    In Oasis's better work, there is very little beatles influence.

    To answer the question however, like oasis or loathe them, they will sell out their tours within hours. So they are still extreamly popular.

    Can't stand 'em.

    When I was at Uni they were a joke local band we went to see when there was absolutely nothing else to do.

    I went off traveling for a year, came back and they were massive and couldn't believe how famous they'd become.
