Cage Match

Thinking about the slap fights between Garamet and Castle (just an example), I had the idea of putting them in a special room that only allowed posts from the two of them. They could snipe to their hearts content, but there's a catch. Until one agrees to give up, they are both locked in, with no posting privileges elsewhere. In other words, it's fight to the death, or agree to stop and return to civil society.

Thoughts?

I love this idea. I mean, I'm all for teh drama, as it's a Wordforge staple, but it's derailing the hell out of every thread in the Red Room. I like both of these posters, but whatever is going on between them needs to be resolved. So let's put them in a room and let them duke it out until their hearts' content.

So technically, it's easy enough. We just set up a user group that only has posting permissions in the special room. When a slap fight gets out of hand. the two posters are added to that group as their primary group, then somebody copies the thread to the room. Hell, they might not even notice.

But, and it's a big wide but, this is Wordforge. Do other posters breathe a sigh of relief, enjoy laughing at CastleMet, or do they raise a stink about the fascists in charge? I said copy the thread, meaning we aren't removing anything from the original. That should help with any censorship charges. The posters can return to normal status at any time of their choosing, so it's not like a ban. Would the user base revolt?

There will be sighs of relief, and accusations of Fascism. In short, they'll do both, because this is Wordforge.

More at the link, but that's the important bit. So, perhaps trying to get one, or the both of them to explain how , whatever it is they're blabbering about, would work, we might get them to dial back their windmilling idiocy at one another.

I ignored this at first because I assumed it was a joke. On the off-chance that it's not, I don't like it -- too much engineering.

Garamet never explains anything. She will post links when feeling expansive and tell you to use Google in the snidest way possible when she isn't. She thinks her copy-paste crap is enough. Castle is here to troll. He doesn't care to explain because he's here for his own lulz. They both are like pigs in shit enjoying the hell out of their little game that garners so much attention and drama.

You dump them in a room and they both will leap into victim mode and scream blue murder. Garamet will build on her anti-Ancalagon campaign and they will bitch until they are let out and will go right back to what they were doing.

Used to be you could have a sensible discussion with Garamet now she is as bad as Castle in her own way. It will be a miracle if you can find a way to get through to either of them.

Any more discussion on this? You wanna release it or not?
