Gods help us if this is the most heartwarming story we hear this weekend. I predict at least one Lifetime Movie. :bergman:

    Cool story.

I wonder if this car was in the museum at Balboa park last year. We went to San Diego on our honeymoon last June and the Automotive museum had a bunch of Mustangs from all eras.

Muscle cars evoke a particular kind of loyalty from their owners. Maybe they can work out some sort of shared custody.

Well, he was going to sell it, so I think maybe it'd be nice if the original owner bought it back at a discount, considering his insurance paid for the stolen vehicle long ago.

^That would be a good solution.

I mean, she had it for 38 years. That makes it a member of the family.

My daughter's first car was a '67 Skylark. She only had it for three years, but she cried when they hauled it away.

Yeah, but a mint condition 'stang from the 60's is worth beaucoup money, now. Probably way more than he paid for it, even adjusted for inflation. Collectible cars are a cash crop, now.

    I miss my '65 Corvair.
Except when I don't break down 20 miles from home.
