^ I try to imagine Jack Bauer making Bond-ish wisecracks, but it just doesn't work. He's much too sour and serious about his work. Remember Ryan Chappelle trying to go out and smoke a cigarette before his final chopper ride with Jack? I picture him lighting up the customary last cigarette at the train yard, and Jack saying, "you know, those things'll kill you." Bond could pull it off, Jack would never say something like that.
