I won't address the history and back and forth on everything because, well, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

On the subject of Twitter, though, I'm more than happy puttering about on BlueSky now, but I can still see what goes on over at Twitter, and the pro-fascist elements get bigger by the day. There are a lot of leftists on Twitter pushing back against it, but since Musk himself is very much a fascist, headway is minimal as more and more systems designed to protect people are dismantled. The more recent block kerfuffle would have been a huge victory for him, if it wasn't for the fact that Apple and Google Play require apps have the ability to block others as a safety measure. You know, a sensible position to hold in a world where people are doxxed and police show up at their homes and shoot them based on unsubstantiated tips from anonymous assholes.

Anyhoo, I don't condemn anyone who still uses Twitter. It's a massive platform, and as much as I love BlueSky, it's still a good year or so away from being ready for the public. There are so few features yet implemented. Facebook has become more repressive than ever, and few other social networks offer the platform that Twitter does. It is an unfortunate reality that it is owned by a shitty narcissist who has delusions of his own ingenuity when all he does is act like a petty frat boy with a fuckload of money.

So whatever argument there is here on the usage of Twitter by people like (formerly) myself, or @Nova, and so on, it's pointless. It doesn't serve any purpose except to dig at people, and considering the state of things, we should be making more friends than enemies wherever possible. Believe me, there are more than enough enemies for people who have the temerity to exist, we don't need to add to that growing pile. I respect you @Tererun, I think you have a very good heart, and I appreciate your passion about things. I also respect @Tuckerfan, who also has a very good heart, and I see him stand up for the marginalized all of the time.

Whatever differences you two have, whomever started it, as I said I don't know the whole history, how about ending it? I know that's a lot to ask on the internet, but isn't there enough anger, backstabbing, hate, and bigotry everywhere else in the world, and especially on the internet these days? Hell, there are people right here on this board who are just markedly awful people who get angry at other human beings for wanting to be seen as human beings, aren't they a better priority if you're going to push back against the aforementioned hate and bigotry?

For the @Tuckerfan who is trying to drag others into this and get me fighting with people by pretending I am some major hypocrite he misses the reality he is the twitter CHUD. Yeah, I do not respect twitter use, evenm though I could see some utility to using it for certain purposes as a tool for information gathering. There are those who use the tools like twitter, and then there are those who are tools of twitter.

Anyway I doubt I will stir up a huge mess as my posting volume is not nearly as prolific as the UA and FF bullshit that fucks up a lot of threads. In all honesty I am retired from that level of destructive trolling. I am annoying because I can naturally put out a lot on my regular level of posting, but I have been known to do in the area of 300 posts or more daily to certain venues. I was granted membership in troll empires on usenet because of how much noise I could put out, and I was not using bots or scripts.

Twitterfan does a good number of meme posts daily for this board, but I could easily drown out him, FF, and UA back in the day, and still keep up with other long involved things like VG dailies, cartoon watching, being a DM, and working a 40 hour career job along with my weekends of paintball reffing.
