There's an opening in my field with a different company. Thoughts? I'm not big on their Jim Crow gun purchase law, but I've already got guns I haven't had a chance to shoot yet. At this point it is either a pair of Peacemakers or a Harper's Ferry flintlock pistol and those are low low priorities.
I like it. Nice weather, close to mountains and beaches, a lot of growth... ...but if you're leaving Washington because of all the liberals, you might want to re-think actually living there. There are a lot of transplants from the North East. It's an easy commute from Gaston County though. You'd fit in well here as long as you don't wear those dandy boy Dr. Who clothes out in public.
You will start to feel your life force coming back as the distance between you and Ancalagon increases.
I hear a lot of out of state micobreqeries have set up brewing and distribution centers in Asheville, NC. A number if San Diego based breweries have put their east coasy hubs there. That is a long way from Charlotte though.
It's only about two and a half hours. There are some pretty good microbreweries in in Charlotte too. Old Mecklenburg Brewery is my favorite. I like their Copper.
You heard right. Asheville and Charlotte are only a couple of hours apart. I grew up about 45 minutes south of Asheville. I'd much rather live there than Charlotte.
Do you know a little town called Landrum? I-26, exit one, last exit before entering NC. Or first exit entering SC depending on what direction you're coming from.
I don't recall the name, but I must have driven through it several times. I used to take 74 to 26 in order to get to I-40 in Asheville.
My housemate partied with Kirstin Wiig, Zach Galifianakis, and Owen Wilson in Asheville when they were shooting the armored car robbery movie. Sierra Nevada opened up a brewery just outside town to supply the East coast.
