Christopher Pike in Trek prequel - was Garamet consulted?

Is garamet holding out on us? Does she have some juicy inside info that would make TBBS drool with envy?

First I've heard of this.

The novelists are far too low on the food chain to even be informed, much less consulted, about what's going on.

However, my gut feeling is that this is just Yet Another Rumor.

What I hear on the grapevine is they haven't even got a working script yet.

I think they're just throwing spitballs to see what fans react to.

20 of those 21 words are totally unnecessary for 90% of the world to know who they meant..

Did garamet create the Pike character?

I didn't think she was that old

She just wrote more books than anyone else did, two I think.


Speaking of books about obscure characters, where are the books about Data's cat, Spot? It got more screen time than Pike ever did.
