Not really. If you could argue - factually, of course - that they were better armed under Mubarak or any previous leader, or that the current government has been actively confiscating weapons, or that anyone other than protestors is being killed, or that the violent death rates today were higher or lower than previously... If not, then not.
I guess the point is they are not confiscating guns.. they are firing on an unarmed populace.. I don't believe philosophical discourse trumps people getting gunned down in the street.
Well I guess if we are going to "bellyaching" .. Guess I better clear my point up for you I'm talking about a disarmed US. Like it isn't headed that way, and actually has happened here Just a point to the unicorn and sparkles crowd about the reality of a government bent on control.
Well, "America is exactly like Egypt" is a little more original than "America is just like Nazi Germany," I'll give you that. No less inaccurate, but a little more original.
Actually, I believe the argument he's making is, "Overreaching government is just like overreaching government." And he's absolutely correct.
Really, because you say so.. how did Kent State go down. Yep a long time ago, but control is subtle and this swing yo the left is just goddamn scary.. cause all you guys do is make excuses and go to the extreme.. please point out my "America is just like Egypt" talk about spinning all things your way
So it was "leftists" who shot the kids at Kent State. Wow. But, hey, Johnny thinks you're cool now, so that's something.
No, I don't think he's cool. But he was correct. Try being correct yourself, sometime, I'll point that out, too.
Let's consider what would happen, and what the right-Forge reaction would be, if limitless arms were available to anyone who wanted them in Egypt.
