I nominate MGM Resorts for the world's worst marketing decision award. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-44859238 Class all the way...
Believe me, I thought this was awful on MGM's part when I first read the headline, and they really framed it poorly and chose to go about this poorly. But if you dig deeper, they're merely seeking an injunction (not any monetary damages) to stop the thousands who are already suing them or planning to sue them. MGM took statutorily reasonable measures by hiring security that was vetted by DHS. I don't know what more you could ask a hotel to do, other than hiring armed mercenaries to be stationed in every room of the hotel. I don't put any of the blame for this shooting on MGM, but again I think they could have gone about this injunction better.
Mandarin Oriental is the only place to stay. No casino thus no degenerates. 23rd floor bar is the best view in the city.
I suspect that a non-zero number of people filed suit against MGM simply because they saw it as the only possible way that they could pay off their medical bills as a result of the shooting. Others, no doubt, view the place as did Hunter S. Thompson.
The scene for what? Middle aged religious dudes who complain about the heat while wearing white socks with sandals, drinking water and talking about how lame abortion is? Sounds like a riot
Apparently you think non-white socks with sandals are a fashion statement? What's up with that? Not good!
You do know you're in Las Vegas, right? (a) the whole town is full of degenerates. (b) the whole point of being in Vegas is... Vegas, baby!
I do Vegas differently now than when I used to. The days of partying at the pool all day and then staying up until 8am gambling on blow you got from a shady limo driver are over Now it's nice restaurants, spa at the Mandarin and lounging by the pool. And I always hit up The Gun Store
