Just about all the "family values" politicians who want to legislate their morality think their laws are for everyone else but not themselves. But the stupid "family values" voters keep falling for the scam so who is really to blame?

Yeah, I'm with Muad and Marso. It's only a lawmaker trying to mandate what 50% of the population can do with their own bodies, it's not like it's anything important like a change in tax rates or people not being allowed enough weaponry to arm a small African republic.

I think most people now realize that what other people do in their bedrooms and with their bodies is none of their business, and that the world is not black and white, nor is every woman June Cleaver. The idea of fretting over some teenager dropout having an abortion or two boys doing some Brokeback Mounting isn't something on their minds as they go about trying to pay for their kids' education and keeping their house from foreclosure.

I rag on California for much of its stupid financial decisions and its nanny state laws, but I'm glad I was never exposed to the kind of backwoods idiocy that I've seen out of some people in the Senate this past election.

Bailey, abortion will never be outlawed outright in the US. It's just not going to happen, end of story. Heck around here healthcare might not be free but abortions are, same goes for condoms and while not free, no prescription is needed for Plan B.
