I was thinking about this and is one week really enough time? Not everyone has a lot of free time and drawing it out to say a month gives people a chance to find out about it and spread the word. At least for the writing contest.

What should the "topic" be? I was thinking "Four" for obvious reasons.

    3rd....500 rep points
100 rep points for anyone who participates

Graphics...I assume this would be art that has the Wordforge logo in it somewhere.

Prizes: 1st....$50 Amazon Certificate + 1000 rep points
    2nd...750 rep points
    3rd....500 rep points
100 rep points for anyone who participates

    Smilie Contest...

    2nd...300 rep points

History of Wordforge Contest--Amusing, accurate and informative, sans trolling, please.

Prizes: 1st....Piece posted in Pandora's Box for noob edification + vanity forum for a month.(just for something different)
    2nd...750 rep points
    3rd....500 rep points
100 rep points for anyone who participates

Now the "rep points for anyone who participates" would be unannounced or people will write crap and call it an entry just for the rep. I suppose entries for all this would be e-mailed or PM'd to me to keep it anonymous. Obviously, I was thinking more having everyone vote rather than the panel of judges thing.

What do you think of this? Comments ...any other ideas? Time is short so now is the time!

I like the idea. Better than just a writing contest, or just an art contest.

But instead of trying to have it done by the 4th anniversary, how about we announce the contest on that date and make the deadline our fifth anniversary? Or is a year too long?

Given our fourth anniversary is tomorrow...no one will be done by then! ;)

I figured a month would be good. A year may make people lose interest, don't you think?

Though we may want to consider 6 months or so before the fifth anniversary announcing any contests for that one.
