In the "olden days", on our Control Panel we used to see the Rep we handed out as well as the Rep we were given. Now all we see is the Rep we are given.

    What's up with that?

The hack for it was incompatible with an upgrade, I haven't checked on it in a while.

For that, you will get rep when I can do so again. (I used it all up in the "rep sluts" thread...)

    Good move! :techman:

what about the warning hack that actually had the red stop sign in the top right? I think it was a much better system.

Looking at my User CP, I notice that "Latest Reputation Given" shows only the last 10 reps given, whereas "Latest Reputation Received" shows more than 30 reps.

I just liked the fact that it showed the warning at the top of the post so you know what post is warned. problems are problems...:(

Click the [DELETE] button to the right of the last rep you gave (as viewed from your Control Panel).

Said button appears to only be there for rep given since the hack was installed.

I'm guessing it's more of a "time-limit". Since the last rep I gave was "deletable" awhile ago, but now isn't.

Unless Nick hacked the hack again.

I assume it's only available long enough for you to say "Oh shit, that neg was supposed to be a pos" and rectify the mistake.

So how does the rep system work, exactly? How many positives does it take to get another little pip, and how many more to make it shiny?

Edit: Or do you get a bunch of dull ones and then they turn shiny one at a time?

I think it's 100 for the regular ones and then 200 for the shinies, but I could be wrong.

Nope, still dull pippy after clawing and scratching for less than 500 reps in 2 and a half years. :(

^ Your next one will be a shiny. You can get up to 6 of them before you "max out your pips." But the shiny ones come more slowly.

    Ummm...sombody 'splain it to me.

I don't even see a link to check the rep except when I have new rep, and I see nothing that gives me the option to see rep given, let alone to delete rep.

Near the top of each page is a drop down menu entitled "User Links"

Open that then select User Control Panel.
