I took this picture this morning: in Reno, Nevada and this one: somewhere near Baraboo, Wisconsin about a week ago. I haven't been keeping an eye out for the signs, but I've only seen Paul signs. It's cool to see the message so widespread - both geographically and away from teh Internets. Here's hoping the ideas of sound money, free markets, responsibility and integrity continue to spread!
The second picture must be hell itself because clearly it is showing what Ron Paul's chances of getting elected are.
In my small town, it seemed that Huckabee had the most signs, followed by McCain. I did see a few Paul signs as well. McCain won the county but Huckabee won Georgia so it seems the number of signs tracks with the actual votes overall.
Ron Paul and Hillary are the only sign I've seen. I've certainly seen a lot more Paul signs. And I haven't seen a single Hussein. I Heart RP
Heck, I've even seen a Ron Paul sign in my super-librul town. Pity he hasn't the guts to do a Ross Perot...
Maybe he has. I'm not all that familiar with his "platform." I was thinking more along the lines of starting a third party.
So, we've got the representation of a dirty lot in Reno where hookers probably regularly turn up and a field. They compliment the only bit of Ron Paul I saw in my conservative hometown - a bumper sticker on a rusted out pickup truck - quite nicely.
The sign I saw was on the side of a nail parlor. Not sure if "Ron Paul" translates into Vietnamese, but apparently the greenbacks did.
I don't think he can do that and continue his congressional campaign. I think it makes more sense to continue the one he has the best chance of winning if he can't do both.
Which suggests he just wants to be elected to *something*, and that's more important to him than making a statement in a presidential campaign. Not saying there's anything wrong with that per se, but it kind of shows just how weak the By My Own Bootstraps-fu is in this one.
