Another vote for The Man from Earth - and to this thread for recommending it. :techman:

Not on Netflix, but I rented Rise of the Planet of the Apes over the weekend. Not quite in keeping with the continuity of the original Heston flick (weren't apes supposed to be the new pets after all the cats and dogs died?), but it was still a fun movie. Recommended for one viewing, but I won't be buying it. Oh, and Dr. McKay plays the next door neighbor!

Afterwards, I did watch something else on the Netflix. A Jim Carrey/Kate Winslet movie called Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Kinda depressing. One of the few "cute" movies I've ever found tolerable.

^^^ "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" is supposed to be the first film of a new continuity similar to the original one, so it's not supposed to be exactly a prequel to the original film.

I hope you watched the little sequence at the end with him. I believe it happens either after or mid credits.

Where it turns out he's an airline pilot, just starting to feel sick from the engineered virus that lab tech sneezed on him? Yeah, I caught that.

    Nope... she doesn't.

But... check out Naked Fear. Some cute red head gets chased by a guy who is hunting her as human prey. She's fully naked for half the move.... with lots of running. Lots of :tits: when she runs. Really nice :tits: on her too.

Can't recall if it was her or Kiera Knightly's teenaged titties in this one

Were they big or tiny? Big = Thora Birch, Tiny = Keira Knightly.

We've been rewatching the new Battlestar Galactica series on Netflix recently. It's pretty darn good and they have all 80+ episodes online for instant viewing.

Watched something called Blood Games. Horrible plot, cheesy acting, terrible dialogue. So bad couldn't stop watching it. Movie was made in 1990, so don't expect great camera work.

Bunch of rednecks play baseball against a team of girl baseball players. The owner of the team bets the town head redneck $1000 on the game. Rednecks lose, redneck doesn't want to pay up. Girls leave bus, rednecks get horny, team owner shows up. Hilarity ensues when rednecks and girls start dying.

Need some new shit to watch. Finished all of Torchwood (up through "Children of Earth"), then all the recent seasons of South Park, then the latter seasons of SVU, and now I've started over from season one on SVU.

I guess this guy I know insisted I borrow his Eastbound and Down DVDs and give that a shot. Not much enthusiasm for that, seeing as how I don't give a shit about baseball.

When do I get a new season of Walking Dead or Breaking Bad?!?

Fortunately, Eastbound and Down isn't actually about baseball. ;)

    Mad Men. It's fucking brilliant.

Or, if you've never seen the Sopranos, do that first. It's a double dose of the decay and emptiness of the American dream. Some of the later episodes are dodgy, but the first three seasons are the best TV I've ever seen.

Maybe I'll watch Mad Men. That's the one with Christina Henricks, right? If nothing else, I can just stare at her. :fap:

I caught the occasional Sopranos over the years before it ended. I fucking detest cowardly gangster thugs, so a drama about cowardly gangster thugs didn't really impress me.

    :brood:

OK, one episode in. I got maybe 5 minutes of Christina Hendricks, but a whole fucking lot of "blah blah blah tobacco advertising, blah blah blah LOOK AT OUR SHOCKINGLY OUT-DATED GENDER POLITICS :yeehaw: " . Also some dudes cheating on their wives.

Is that all there is to this? :marathon:

You're right. I forgot to mention "LOOK AT ALL THE PLACES PEOPLE ARE SMOKING!11 ISN'T THAT JUST SCANDALOUS?!?11"

    :dayton:

I've only seen one episode, but there was nothing more to it than that.
