http://www.cracked.com/article_20139_6-bizarre-factors-that-predict-every-presidential-election.html Like always, they list a set of bizarre coincidences and make a prediction based on that. So far, all these unrelated random events are calling for an Obama victory. When's the Redskins game? Edit: found it
That's fucking amazing. I'm glad you made a thread for that. I can tell you're going to be a useful member of society...someday.
Yeah. Some of my friends have been quoting this for a few days. They're delusional. Romney may pull it off, but it would make Bush v. Gore look like a simple preliminary hearing.
The NYT has statisticians who are also predicting a 74% chance of an Obama victory. The media is trying to hype this as if it is close (as that boosts their ratings and makes them money) but truthfully the electoral college count, the only count that matters, isn't even close. Obama is ahead in every state which matters. That's not opinion, that is math.
Yeah, that wingnut at "unskewed polls" is a complete loon and even right wing sources like Fox News and Rasmusen dismiss his claims as pure fantasy and completely unsupported by any evidence. He doesn't even know basic statistics and his claims seem to amount to "but I want Romney to win" with nothing else behind it. It's complete fantasy.
We're basically at the point now where Romney folks are calling it for Romney and the libtards are calling it for Obama.
Using my version of unbiased "statistics", I'm going to call the election in favor of Roseanne Barr. She's going to win 341 electoral college votes. Just you wait. If I'm wrong, you can ban Packard.
I might as well call it for Johnson then. Actually, my prediction for this election is that after it's all over the media will finally notice Johnson (and possibly Stein and Goode) - but whether it will be to point out how those icky third parties spoiled everything for someone, or to make a joke of how low their numbers are, I don't know.
Nope. We're at the point where actual mathematicians and statisticians have called it for Obama while no one but loonies claim Romney will win. Just because you don't like how the math adds up doesn't mean the numbers are not real. I'm sorry you are disappointed by the numbers but the science behind the numbers is rock solid. That's a fact.
And that, as you well know, is not allowed in the Red Room We're going to have to ban Packard for this
