It's pretty kick-ass how even kittens have that extreme apex-predator laser-like focus (and insane fast-twitch muscle speed as they mature) that has served all cat species well throughout their evolution.
They never lose that hunting/killing ability no matter what their situation.

True enough - they are committed to never breaking character as the coolest critters that ever stalked the planet. My favorite cat human mocking behavior is when you can't find them and you're worried that they have escaped or are otherwise in trouble. They will wait until you tear the house apart, search the neighborhood, even put up flyers saying "have you seen this cat?" and when you are just about at the end of your rope, they casually stroll out from around a corner of a room like "what's all the hubbub? I'm trying to finish my nap!"
So funny when a dog accidentally gets trapped somewhere they start barking or scratching immediately. But a cat hunkers down so deep behind or under god knows where and won't say shit until a minimum of twelve hours.
