They're doing a satirical Weird Al biopic. "Yankovic says in a statement: “When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork. I’m very happy to say we’re on schedule". https://www.darkhorizons.com/daniel-radcliffe-to-play-weird-al-yankovic/
"I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for."
The Jim Morrison we see in The Doors movie was mostly made up by Oliver Stone, that they parodied that version makes it even more funny.
OK, Daniel radcliff as Weird AL? Looks awesome. I really cannot understand how I hate Harry Potter so fucking much, but I find Daniel Radcliff the most adorable actor ever. I need to find a cure for my harry potter hate. Did harry potter molest me or something?
Not really. I have heard that before and recognize she does not feel what I feel. This is where she goes wrong. She starts in an area where I can agree that trans women cannot, should not, and do not replace cis women. I am fine with that because trans women are not brought up as cis girls and cannot be due to lack of ability to have periods and pregnancy. But it stops there which is where JK goes wrong. Yes, gender dysphoria is a thing. Yes you can chose to identify as female and accept the social stigmas and benefits that come with that. That does not make you a cis woman, but it does give you a lot of insight into being a woman. I don't hate her as much as I realize she is typical of a shortsighted ignorant twat. To me it is like getting mad at a dog that is barking at you in anger. It is just a dumb dog. I think a large part of the problem society has had over time is we need to deal with our dumb as a dog population.
Radcliffe is a pretty cool guy. He's been on a few UK panel shows that have shown he's got some good self-effacing humour and a quick wit. He impressed me on QI and not just because he has read up a lot about the history of real world magic tricks. Haven't seen it (just trailers) but his Oregon Trail series looks like he has a lot of fun too. His curse is that despite the square jaw and mustache in that Weird Al clip, he still looks like he's 14-15 at most (don't throw Equus clips at me, I mean his face and overall demeanour). I actually think he might be a good option for the Doctor one day, but he'll likely need to be in his fifties to seem old enough for the part!
Pfft. Everyone knows Weird Al released his 100% true, pretty much, bio pic back in 1985 titled "The Compleat Al."
This was pretty funny, but went off the rails a little. Jack Black as Wolfman Jack was hilarious. Best scene of the whole movie.
It is a good movie, and a lot better if you know his history up until Fat. There is a lot that is made up, but there is a lot that is just on it's head from what I know of how things went for him up until then. There were a lot of jokes that were funny, but if you did not know what he went through when he tried to write his own music, or how he was busting his ass in obscurity making parodies some of the jokes only seemed funny to me. If you have the time you might want to watch an actual weird al documentary before watching this.
I might have to pay attention because of this, and after hearing all the crying because Megan and Harry got snubbed for their royal entitlement grift movie or show thing. Nah not really, but it would be cool if he won and it is great those useless royal waste of flesh assholes and their show did not get nominated.
"Congratulations to promising young newcomer Daniel Radcliffe, who just got his very first Emmy nomination!"
Wow, first time in a long time I am actually wanting to buy a DVD. Where was my DVD player again? It could probably be with my last VCR and I wouldn't know. My fucking computer doesn't even have one anymore.
