I know there are a few native German speakers on WF, so I thought I'd give this a shot. So right-wing pessimists, this is not for you! And no, this cannot be moved to the red room :D
I've been following a Ugandan development organisation called Edirisa - set up by a Slovenian journalist, mainly working with volunteers and doing very smallscale, but effective work. Their working with volunteers is, of course, also their vulnerability. Right now, an Austrian volunteer is about to leave, and she was responsible for translation of the Edirisa website into German. She lived in Uganda for a year, so she was working fulltime. Edirisa knows that was a luxury situation, so they are now looking for a team of people who can help with translations from English to German, online. If anyone here wants to contribute some time and effort, for whatever period you like, drop them a mail.
Check out the new site at: http://www.edirisa.org/

Wife's an English-German translator by trade.

In all the jungle movies I've ever seen, I've never seen a native speaking German.

    Ungawa.
