Do you ever just have to take a break from the news?

    Sometimes I do. I know politics and local/world events aren't something to be taken over seriously but some times something really pisses me off and I think, what the hell is wrong with people or how could we let that happen?! Then I realize I need to take a step back and emerse myself in some good sci-fi, kiss my wife and have a beer.

    For the sake of your blood pressure if nothing else do you ever just turn off the news? :shrug:

    Yes. After the Obamacare bill passed, I had to take a break from news and talk radio for a few days.

    Also, I get the NASA channel from DirecTV. I used to watch it quite a bit, especially during shuttle missions, but I have a hard time watching it now knowing that Obama has killed America's manned space program.

    Yes. Typically I only look at the news once in the morning. Then I focus on surfing for porn.

    I only keep up during important events.

    Most of the time I just scan Google News.
