First, too incompetent to stand trial, but has a girlfriend? Right. Arrest her for molesting a mentally incompetent person. Second, there's more than one violent offender running around terrorizing the city that's "too incompetent to stand trial" so pretty much has free run to be feral. Just need the costumes.

The judges in this city are notoriously soft, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that the judges are making this ruling based on drug addiction alone.

Vigilantism is a growing thing here, we have had a couple throw a carjacker in their trunk and take him out to a pre-dug grave out in the desert, a local realtor ran down one of the trolls that inhabit this city that he caught robbing one of his properties, and every week there's a story of someone tracking down their own stolen car because the police here are Gotham City tier.

Working in the mental health part of the jail I've seen a lot of inmates try to play the incompetent or crazy card. After a while you can tell the fakers from the real ones.

Reading this story however it seems like these two people truly are crazy and they need permanent hospitalization.

If they are being arrested that much than the system is not working if it keeps letting them out due to them being incompetent.

I think the law might be missing a step here. Ok, if they are too crazy to understand right and wrong then they need constant supervision in the booby hatch. You don't let the loonies run amok. Being two sandwiches short of an Easter parade is not an excuse to do as you please.

THe (now retired) Toronto Batman, not so sure.... that guy is a dick anyway.

We've got a couple that have achieved local fame for their characterizations; For instance, Peter Parkour, the T.O. Spiderman.

For once we agree.

If they are constantly being violent and constantly being found incompetent they need hospitalization.

Or eventually in their crime sprees they are going to cross the line and kill a person or multiple people.
