So we have another example of something the Obama administration deceived the public with just before the election.

    And then there was Benghazi!

    Transparent my ass! :moon:

    In simpler terms:

"Administration caught lying in order to hang on to political power."

    This is news?

But of course, those who claim the Dems don't do it, or don't do it much, will dismiss this, because in their opinion only the GOP lies and distorts the facts just to obtain or retain political power. "There's so much difference between the two parties," you know...

    :dayton:

Who are the people who claim that only the GOP lies and distorts facts for the sake of power? The attempt to link this to the debate in the other thread by implying that that's the position of people who see a significant difference between the parties is extremely disingenuous.

    Start with Wordin.

Or are you going to defend him on this, simply because he's on the left?

Wordin/ConfederateSon didn't make more than a single post in the thread that you're alluding to, and it didn't address this issue. It's very obvious that you're trying to very specifically tar those of us in that thread with this brush.

He did make one rep comment too, which was "Sadly, that's what we're left with. One party that is mostly corrupt and bought off while the other party actively is insane and wants to destroy the country. It's not much of a choice."

And that indicates that even he doesn't fit the strawman you've constructed.

You're the one saying I'm "alluding to a thread." Don't put words in my mouth because of your little ideas.

Obvious to you; for me, it had not yet occurred to me to put you in this category. But since you feel so strongly that it applies to you, perhaps I was wrong. Perhaps you do think that, which is why you take this personally, when in my mind it didn't have anything at all to do with you.

In any case, I'm not responsible for the voices in your head.

Just so we're clear that there's nobody on Wordforge who said what you're now attributing to....someone or other.

Big surprise: the most senior lawyer in America is a lying piece of shit - sounds just like the Lying-Sack-of-Shit-in-Chief that selected him. Or the one before him, or the slick Willie before him. All a bunch of fuckin liars and yet people entrust government, give it ever more power and authority over their lives, and then expect kids not to lie about important things because it's wrong. Maybe Obama paid off Justice Roberts for his ill-grounded opinion on obamacare? Who's to say what's ridiculous or absurd?, after all just about every single individual in government might be as steaming and lying a pile of shit as Obama and now, Holder.

Ah, fuck it, never mind, things like morality have no place in government, any more than truth, trustworthiness, ethics, honor, character, or any other of those old fashioned conservative values that have no place in rational decision making.

The real question is: why shouldn't an informed kid grow up to be a cynic that mistrusts everything said by our 'leaders?'

    The American Media.

Imagine if Obama was a Republican and the FBI/DOJ were making the same claims.

The media would have looked into those claims carefully and exposed them for the lie they were before the election.

And of course you can pretty much nail it down to any leftist.

Why would the senior lawyer be any less of a lawyer than all the others?
