Don't Count Hillary out yet. New Polls give her huge leads in OH and PA.

Are there going to be any more democratic debates?

Hillary has a wide lead over Obama in Pennsylvania and Ohio by most polls, but the same polls indicate that she loses to McCain while Obama can defeat him.

Choices within the Democratic Party and choices among the two parties' candidates involve different sets of people. The latter statistic is from a group approximate twice as large.

Preferring Hillary over Obama doesn't really do her supporters much good if she can't win against McCain.

Two weeks ago I never would have guessed a Republican had a chance to win in November, but that just goes to show how skilled Democrats are at seizing defeat from the jaws of victory.

People should vote for who they believe in, not who they think can win. The last time Democrats did the latter we ended up with Kerry. It's also a long way until November and anything can happen.

But yes, Hillary is a horrible choice. Nominating someone because of their last name and nostalgia for an administration a decade ago didn't work out so great the last time.

I've given up on polls. Every time they've predicted a big win or a decisive outcome, the opposite has happened.

Apparently someone must. I haven't seen a bunch of people demanding the DNC change the super delegate policy. Have members of the DNC started decreasing the amount of money they contribute to support the party until they start reflecting the members views more? It doesn't seem like it to me at this point. For something like this, silence on the part of the contributors and membership is equal to agreement with them.

I predict Hiliary will win in Texas and Ohio.

I know that Americans of Mexcian lineage tend to vote for her. I also know that the polls reveal that she is leading by a razor thin margin. But, I also believe that the Latino vote will be really large in these states. There have been drives to get people registered all through out Texas. I'm sure the more recent polls have just touched the surface, and there will be a voter turn out like never before.

Texas is obious, but why do I also state Ohio? Three are many people of Mexican linage there. It seems when the country needed workers to fill a void in the factories, thousand and thousand were bussed in from Mexcio. The cgildren and granchildren of these p[eople are of voting age.

For better or worse, there are some people of Mexican lineage that will not vote for a Black man.

We haven't 'counted out' Hillary for entirely different reasons than OH or PA. But there's a thread for that already.

Are you attempting to claim that there is quite a bit of fury, anger and disgust with the DNC right now regarding the super delegates? Is it starting to hit the DNC in the only place that they actually care about the people... the DNC's pocketbook?

Fury and disgust? No. Immense dislike? Yes. I haven't talked to a Democrat yet who thought it was a good system.

And if the super delegate system does go against the popular vote you will get your fury, anger and disgust in spades.

The funny thing is I think you are right, but I also doubt that the DNC gives a shit about the people in the party. I think they are going to do whatever the hell they want and the same people who support this very non-Democratic process will continue to provide money and support to it.

Even the democrats aren't that stupid. I saw Donna Brazille on CNN and she made it very clear that they aren't going to go into self destruct mode just to make Hillary happy. (Insert joke here)

If you exclude Michigan, where no one but her and Dennis appeared on the ballot, Hillary hasn't won a single midwestern state...not one. And that's where the outcome of the election will likely be decided.

Matt Drudge seems to suggest they both like young women.:evilpop:

it's good for couple to have things in common, you know?

And no, the DNC ain't going to roll over for Hillary. I actually spoke with a superdelegate on this issue — and they seem ready to stampede to Obama. In fact, if Obama wins Texas, it's game over.

Interesting. I'll bet she refuses to quit though, or tries to cry foul, or pull some other shenanigan to keep her hopes alive.

One thing that sucks about the primary possibly ending March 4th if Obama wins Texas, which I agree if he does it is game over, is that leaves months until the convention. I'm going to hate cable news until August.

Cable news will be fascinating if that happens. The press has a major collective hard-on for McCain, but it also has a major collective hard-on for Obama. Watching Chris Matthews et al. devolve into puddles of goo as they try to decide who gives them the better chubby would be the best Ph.D. dissertation topic in psychology ever.

I think we are seeing a changing press for McCain. Especially in light of some of the recent hit pieces that the NY Times has done on McCain.
