Expanding on my previous post:

If you reread CS's post, you'll see he was referring to the sites you linked to - not you - as right-wing extremist.

I'd just say you're unable to distinguish the anecdotal from a nationwide trend. Or you're content with any bit of information, how ever small and whatever the source, that supports what you already believe.

What you should ponder is the world outside your little bit of geography. "This is what I see in Augusta" =/= the entire U.S.

Then there's history. I know it scares you to ponder things like slavery or, say, anything that happened prior to the 21st century, but see if you can stretch your tolerance a little beyond 2013.

For every YouTube video of black teens attacking a white person, I can trade you court testimony about white adults dragging a black man to death behind their pickup, all of which occurred in the 21st century. You won't have to hurt your head thinking about Jim Crow laws or lynchings or any of those other unpleasant things. And we won't discuss spontaneous violence vs "Hey, Billy Bob, first one we see on the road, we gonna drag 'im!"

Now, if you can provide some that support a nationwide trend in black-on-white violence, then we can compare them to white-on-black/Hispanic/Asian/Native/anybody-who-isn't-white violence and see if we can figure out what the trends really are.

Here's the FBI's data on homicides for 2011:

Number of homicides with white offenders and black victims: 218
Number of homicides with black offenders and white victims: 447

So, twice as many murders of whites by blacks in a given year as the other way around. But according to Wikipedia, the white population is 6 times the size of the black population.

That makes black on white homicide 12 times (twice the incident count, one sixth the population size) more common than the other way around.

Someone will no doubt scream "racism!" because I'm calling attention to this data, but there the data is, nonetheless.

Those are the kind of hard data I was looking for.

Pretty much what I said earlier. And by golly pretty accurate for my neck of the woods! There are mountains of data indicating the violence ratios.
That said, in my lifetime the social ills that force these people to kill will never completely disappear (Obama is only one man!) so it only makes sense to be a little more vigilant and watch your six in some neighborhoods. That's not racism, that's common sense.

Yes, those lynchings and Jim Crow laws were terrible. Dragging a black man behind a truck happens...what.....every few years? So I guess it's every few years that a mob of blacks attacks a white.
No wait, that would be every few days.

So it's okay if "spontaneous violence" breaks out on a daily basis if you total up every incident across the country - most of which are buried on page 136 of the newspaper.
