    Sir Michael Gambon, who replaced Richard Harris in the role of Dumbledore in the Potter films, has died aged 82. Also starred as Maigret in the adaptations of the detective novels, and as Philip Marlowe in Dennis Potter's The Singing Detective. Played Kazran Sardick in the Dr Who Christmas ep "A Christmas Carol". And had a corner named after him on the Top Gear test track during the Clarkson era where he sent the Reasonably Priced Car flying off just before the finishing line.
