Not a lot on the list that has me pumped, but I'm not a fan of fighting games. Never played The Last Of Us so the sequel ain't doing it for me either - graphics look pretty though.

Halo: Infinite looks hella pretty. If they don't fuck around with having you play people other than the Chief this time, I'll be pleased - it sorta worked in Halo 2 to explain the Covenant civil war. And I guess since they made Cortana the big bad of Halo 5 they needed another character viewpoint to stop the Chief just desperately wanting to believe her.... but spin-off Fillion into his own game if you wanna do other characters, or other stories like Reach.

Now, the one game that DOES have me pumped is Spider-Man - that trailer is excellent. Gameplay seems like the Arkham Batman games turned up to 11, and the cutscenes appear seamlessly integrated. Shame it's PS4 exclusive... might have to consider getting one...

Fuck it. Bought a PS4 Pro. Needed a game to test it out with so went with a pre-owned copy of Injustice: Gods Among Us while I ponder more pricey options. I played the sequel on Xbox as per earlier posts in this thread - looking back you'll see I was a fan of the story and characterisation. Playing the original is also a blast - it's less polished and graphics are obviously poorer - but the story and characterisation are still there. And getting to play actually heroic versions of Supes and Wonder Woman is cool, seeing as the sequel makes their InjusticeVerse counterparts irredeemable (Hal Jordan and Flash get to make up for their misdeeds in the sequel, as does Catwoman). In fact, those two give the game some of its most awesome moments - with Diana beating down her evil opposite and then rallying the Amazons against EvilSupes' Regime, and the moment where the Insurgency is losing and has to summon OUR Superman - who materializes S-symbol first.

The Injustice version of Lex is cool too - never a villain here, he was Supes' best friend and sticks to the role after Supes goes off the deep end, so he can pass info to the Insurgency led by Batman. He puts up a helluva fight too, even if Supes kills him in the end - but his death turns the public against the Regime, so he pulled off a major victory anyway.

Now I have the PS4 I'm wondering what games to try - since I've got the Xbox One and a large collection of games, I'm not too fussed about overlapping games, but the exclusives don't really grab me (until Spider-Man comes out)... any recommendations? God of War perhaps... but what's the gameplay like?

Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami on the PC were highlights for me as weird as it is. I did like that cyberpunk trailer.

I'm also really excited for that Wolfenstein thing. I loved the two latest games in that series, and if this is another Old Blood I'm sold.
