Except for EP not understanding the concept of a national competition as opposed to your normal club based system. No transfers, sponsorships etc.
I don't see anywhere in this thread where such a thing was even discussed! Am I missing something? Are you talking about Post #53? If so, it sure looks like it's very tongue in cheek to me.
He's talking about Post #43, and it's clear from that post that ep doesn't understand the roster rules of this International competition.
If so, that's makes some sense. I thought he was talking about that little jibe about the "World Series" only having teams from one country, and EP chiming in with "Canada! Canada!".
I have been giving you Brits so much shit I lived in England for two years, I know how all that shit works. Every bit of it, footie matches and cricket tests and snooker and all that stuff. There was only 4 fucking tv channels in East anglia and what do you think was on "the telly". I never watched much of it but always had to ask how "the lads are doing" just to get a feel of the mood of the place. Not that Suffolk had any great teams in the area. When it was serious football, it was time to go to the pubs around newmarket. Anyone can enjoy a horse race.
No you don't. You keep banging on about living in the UK but almost everything you post is completely incorrect, at least it is in keeping with your wordforge character. The fact is that you are either grossly ignorant or somewhat lacking upstairs.
Don't be so unfair. We all know the a couple years on a USAF base in Suffolk makes you more British than the Brits. I have travelled to the US so many times that I have spent not far short of the same time there. Is EP going to consider me as American as he thinks hecis British?
no, its not all incorrect. I just never cared much for soccer because its boring as hell. True I don't know how the teams and all that shit are structured, because it didn't interest me.
So, which is correct, the red or the blue statement? 'cause they kinda directly conflict w/ each other. I'm guessing Blue, because it sounds like you're talking out of your ass, really.
I never claimed to be british or anything like that. I am quite fond of the place. The wife and I have actually talked of retiring there if that is possible. We were married there and have good memories. Its quite obvious much has changed since 1990. I traveled a lot when I was over there and put lots of miles on my motorcycle rain and shine (mostly rain). I just call things as I remember them being.
Only a ignorant foreigner would ever make the mistake of confusing country with nation. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/jun/15/david-cameron-bloody-sunday-apology
So you're telling me that Eton and Oxford educated Cameron doesn't know what's what in his own country? He's clearly just said country for the purposes of the speech. I mean, do you think the speech would have been as public friendly if he had used the term "nation state" or "union"? Technically speaking it is indeed a mistake though. We are still four countries. Hell, even Wikipedia gets it right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom
I know how the different parts of the UK are with their own parliaments and laws. I have watched soccer games and know how they are played but I don't know all the details of the rules as far as teams and all. I felt for all those people that got mashed into the fence a Hilsborough and died after the cops lets more people into the stadium. It happened about a week after the wife and I got married and my old room mate had an uncle from liverpool that he was all worried about because he had went to the game. It was in the old steel country up north of england and that is when I found out that you brits are serious about your game. I was just poking at you but it seems to have really upset.
