I am a fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and wrote this more as an excercise in writing. It is mostly fan fiction, and how I would treat a new Slayer, one that is different thatn Buffy. It takes place after Season Seven, in which all the slayers were activated by Willow's spell. The Episode: Sheriff William McKendrick has been sharing dreams with his daughter. They are of a girl in medieval times fighting a dragon. The girl he dreams of bears a striking resemblance to his daughter. The dragon is a huge one almost seventy feet in length and it easily tears through buildings trying to claw her to death. The girl sees the dragon is about to use its breath weapon and knocks him out of the way and takes cover herself. He wakes as the dragon breathes fire on him. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o></o> <o></o> It turns out to be a bad day for the Sheriff. His oldest son has been<o></o> charged with assault by the parents of a Goth kid named Justin McCune. As it turns out he tried to warn Mark about not going to the cemetery at night because something bad’s going to happen and it was taken as a threat when what they don’t know is that Justin is a psychic as well and had premonitions of Mark becoming a vampire. Then as it turns out, his daughter has been getting into fights. It seems one of the jocks at school told everyone she was easy, so she got angry and beat him up as well as a few of his friends. She put a couple of them in the hospital for broken ribs.<o></o> <o></o> Things always seem to happen in threes, so later that night he breaks up a bar fight and meets Cassandra, the boss of the vampires in this town. Cassandra had stolen an old map dated 1929 from the town’s local museum. She was meeting with someone to buy the prospector’s diary to explain the map when the seller attempted to steal the map from her. She was attacked and even shot, but she beat them up and took the diary.<o></o> <o></o> The Sheriff arrests her and confiscates the map and diary. She is <o></o> able to escape by using her mesmerism to suggest the guard lets her out. That weekend, when Mark takes his date out to the cemetery, she gains revenge on the Sheriff by turning his son into a vampire. His son’s body is found in the creek.<o></o> <o></o> The principle of the high school Maryanne’s been going to turns <o></o> out to be Irinia Merrick, the incarnation of Buffy Summer’s first Watcher. She has started training her in martial arts and knowledge about vampires and demons as a means of teaching her discipline. She takes her to the cemetery to show her how a vampire rises out of the grave and to herdismay, her first vampire is her own brother. Her father, by coincidence, has come to the cemetery looking for Cassandra. Cass attacks the new Slayer, and mark attacks his father. During the fight he takes his father hostage and Cass forces the Slayer to retrieve the map and diary to save her father’s life.<o></o> <o></o> After Cassandra gets the map, she leaves, but Mark is hungry so he tries to sink his fangs into his father’s neck. William twists out of the hold and when Mark goes beserk from the hunger, Maryanne is forced to dust him to save her father’s life. That morning the three of them, Irinia, William, and Maryanne have a long talk about what the future brings. In the meantime, Cassandra hires some prospectors to find the lost prospector’s mine. According to the diary the mine is said to be a storehouse of artifacts of gold from an ancient time. Notes: The town is a town called Weed in Northern California and is just situated about ten miles from an ancient volcano known as Mount Shasta. There is a lot of lore about the mountain, and some of it includes UFOo sightings and stories of an ancient Lemurian colony. In later installments, the mine will lead to those ruins. Cassandra is after the gold more for personal wealth and doesn't know what it truly contains. The gold is actually golden tablets with ancient knowledge of powerful scientific and occult knowledge that has been lost for fifteen thousand years. <o></o> <o></o> <o></o>
