The original post (which was announced by Chris) was reposted in a thread either here or at TK a couple of days ago, I've been trying to find it. But one point was that people granted access to read The Shelter were under the same confidentiality rules as mods.
Jesus Christ. I go off for awhile to spend time in the real world expecting to come back to some good discussion. Instead, some of you can't seem to help yourselves. Regardless of what some of you think, I offered a genuine olive branch and some of you proceeded to shit on it.
I mentioned my opinion and got called a spy, a whiner, and got several neg reps for my troubles. I'm not sure what else I can contribute if that's what I get for opening my mouth.
Were we supposed to reply with "evryting is perfect Mr Elwood, don't change a ting" That must be what you wanted, since YOU shit on everyones suggestions.
How about he's playing devil's advocate so he can see the cons to everyone's idea of what is "good" about their suggestion. Just because YOU think your idea is good does not mean that others think so.
Negative, Ghostrider. I have not responded to any suggestion past the first few because I elected to spend time with loved ones this weekend and I had a very busy day at work today. If you're sore because I disagreed with your particular suggestion, I am very sorry, but I clearly said, "Some we'll work through and some we won't." in the initial post. If you'd like to come at it from a different angle or try to convince me why it'd help the board as a whole, I'm all ears.

Yeah I know...blah...blah...blah...there is no eliteforge, anyone who says there is is just trying to make trouble.
Interesting. I've read through all 6 pages of this. I saw about 30 suggestions, the rest of it was just arguing and complaining about things with no real plan on how to fix them....
Can we get back to the constructive part of the thread? Please? Also, keep the ideas coming, but it's going to be just a little while before I respond or we start implementing ideas. Tamar has resigned and I need to find a new admin to replace her. This person will be the Heir Apparent and I want them to have input in helping all of us resolve this. Oh, but I will acknowledge one idea. Eventually, we will trim the staff and institute the policy of having just a few supermods. Exactly how that will be done and when has yet to be determined because, in all honesty, I really don't have the heart to just up and fire a lot of people that really have poured a lot of themselves into this place.
Let me expand on that. What I'm trying to do is get WF back to where it was when we opened. Part of that is why I've been so slow to move on revising the shelter release schedule. For whatever reason, it worked back then. So, if you have other good ideas, we'll put 'em to use, but my goal is getting everything lined up with what it was.
Nonsense. Elwood can't control what you do. You can discuss anything you want. Board buisness or personal stuff. BUT! Elwood can ignore you until you put it down in writing in A51. If your not willing to say in a forum things that you actually think about the board because said forum will become public at a future date then you shouldn't be on staff in the first place. You shouldn't be concerned with your reputation among the members. Don't hide behind PMs, IMs, chat and email. Be brave enough to put down in writing in A51 what you think about different situations.
Woah, you're coming at it all wrong. For one, you're not 'firing' anyone. I doubt anyone will mind that their modship role has become redundant, because it's not the be-all-and-end-all of being part of Wordforge. And not every mod has carried a burden from that role, as there's been that many of yous any major responsibility has generally been spread about. And secondly, it's not just mods who have poured themselves into the place. You wouldn't have anything but mods modding each other if you didn't have regular posters too. You only have to look at the time spent online stats to see that you don't need to be a mod to support the success of WF IMHO, what you're saying is that you don't want to slap someone for their loyalty to you, which, while admirable, is an entirely different thing.
