    Interesting morning. A DVD just exploded in the roommate's computer -- gave me a fucking heart attack and had me reaching for a gun when I haven't worn in 7 years. Little plastic bits all drizzling out of the tray and now the tray won't close, probably because there are larger pieces still inside the tray.

    And then the roommate's cats drag dead birds into the house. Two of 'em. That part's not computer related except where the birds got away from the damn cats and one of them banged into the computer case and left a nice bloody bird-print.

    Eh, I don't think it was black magic. It was the DVD player/recorder that busted a disc, not the DVD playa/recorda.
