We sang some carols at work today (boredom) and it was funny how many people got the words wrong. My favourite of the day (sung in all honesty) was; Original: "Good King Wenceslas looked out, on the feast of Stephen," Colleague: "Good King Wences' lass looked out, on the feet of heathens," It reminded me of when, as a young 'un, my fear of Father Christmas was compounded by Bruce Springsteen singing Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and my thinking he said, "He'll seize you when you're sleeping" (not, "He sees you when you're sleeping") Any others?
"Darn we now our gay apparel!" (I didn't know the word "don" when I was a kid). I still picture homosexuals with holes in their socks.
