Why would you, at this particular moment, feel the need to defend against the punching of Nazis? Because I've confronted a few Nazis, didn't need to punch them because they backed off, but punching is always on the table if necessary.

What makes you think leftists have a mentality of punching "suspected" and not "verified" Nazis? I haven't seen too many videos of Nazis getting punched, but of the ones I've seen, all of the people getting punched seemed to be openly self-identifying as Nazis.

See, most Nazis got smart years ago, and started changing their names. Proud Boys are Nazis. The KKK are Nazis. This is not difficult to understand. Again, generally speaking, what you seem to want is a lack of consequences for pushing white supremacist beliefs. You want to play confederate soldier without being seen as what they represent. I am not going to punch a nazi for saying stupid shit, but I would shout some shit back to him or her. Also, I might hang around to see if the Nazi enghaged in physical violence so I could insist he stop through a whack on his dumb ass head with whatever the fuck I could hit him with.

That being said there is not much room between a yelling nazi and a physically attacking one. Once they have themselves worked up they are like a fat ass violent dog. They are going to try and bite you. If they do not try to bite you then they are afraid of you so they are not a threat until they have a crowd.
