I was down South in Dayton-country this weekend. It was a bittersweet event all around--I was there to bury my mother and to reunite with relatives I've not seen in many years. I also had occasion to visit my hometown which left me somewhat melancholic. I think this poem describes well how I feel. Comments (positive, negative, indifferent) invited.
