    Browncoats Unite!

Been re-watching my Firefly DVDs after getting them back from my bro in law, who graciously kept them safe for the last freakin' 18 months! Buy yer own damn copy, gorram it!

Anyway, just finished Jaynestown. Damn, after all this time and all the viewings this show still makes me LOL.

Anyway. We need a browncoat smilie. :storm:

Oddly enough, we just finished our occasional re-watching run last night (1 ep every Sunday night) with Objects in Space.

I can't help but feel cheated every time we do a run-through. I feel like Early, floating off with nothing to hold on to - "Welp. Here I am..."

When I rewatch Firefly (or Sportsnight, another series that got cancelled too soon), I rarely watch the very last episode.

That way, it sorta doesn't feel like the series was "over". :(

Oh, but you can't pass up Objects in Space. It's freakin' brilliant.

I watch it probably every 2nd or 3rd time I rewatch the series.

And it's depressing because that episode was so good.

And it was the last one.

I wonder what it would really take to get another production going. A low-budget, straight-to-video movie, or maybe a miniseries on SciFi.

Really? Objects in Space is probably my least favorite - I say least favorite because they're all good, but, if I had to rank them ...

My favorite is probably The Train Job. But, I also really like ... the one where Mal and Wash are captured by ... what's his name. And, I also like the one with Yo-Saf-Bridge and the gun. Oh, and Out of Gas ...

For me, every episode is relatively good, but my favourite is "Ariel" and I could live without "The Message".

Out of Gas was one of the best episodes of any TV show ever, IMHO. Ariel was also super, and the rest of them rocked. Not a single episode really sucked.

Unless you could get the original cast to work for scale, the answer is probably "too much."

OOOH! Every summer for the past two summers, some freaks have been performing episodes of "Star Trek" in Portland parks (last summer was "Amok Time", IIRC. I forget what this summer was--possibly "The Doomsday Machine"). They should totally put on "Firefly".

 Now, that might be fun, as long as it's public and free.

I doubt a Firefly/Watchmen crossover would do much better than Star Trek vs XMen.

But an animated Firefly might work.

Oh, and nobody calls it "pot" anymore.

    Ommigod. Omigod. Omigod.

And Mal and Wash as the Skipper & Gilligan. The Doctor and River as the Howells, Shepherd as the Professor and Zoe as the hot topless native they found on the island.

    Perfect!
