    I use Maya 2012. I have a student account because I'm in 3D modeling at IUPUI. It's an extremely complex software, but there's a lot you can do with little knowledge. I've only had it for two weeks, and the class is 3D modeling 101, but I've tooled around with Maya quite a bit, teaching myself how to do a lot of things.
