You've had it happen: someone says "you've got to try this", and gives you some mixture which seems like it should be utterly disgusting given the constituent ingredients, but it actually rocks instead. What are some of your favorites? Apple cider and pink lemonade, Ricotta and pumpkin (esp. with diced tomatoes).
No matter how many posts were lost, Ted's third grade teacher is still a BLASPHEMER! Ketchup and chocolate cookies makes baby Jesus cry.
Aw Damn! There were some good recipes in this thread. Chili dog with a big old glob of pimento cheese on top.
My childhood favorite sandwitch is still delicious; Creamy peanut butter, dill pickles, salami, and mayonaise. Don't ask me why, but its delicious.
Ranch dressing on pizza. In fairness, it should probably be limited to crap chain pizza like Pizza Hut or Papa John's. I imagine that it'd ruin a good pizza.
Shit, it got deleted. Scrambled eggs stirred up with stove top stuffing, and covered with mozzarella cheese.
I completely agree!! Diacanu nearly lynched me when I put this one out the last time we had this conversation Also very VERY cheap pasta, with chocolate/vanilla icecream. Delicous!
That sounds quite good. I used to eat peanut butter and mustard sandwiches regularly. I'll have to try your suggestion.
People used to always get disgusted at my subway sandwich combination: Meatball sub, cheese, with lots of veggies, mayo and vinegar and oil... One of my friends tried it and loved it...although I don't get that anymore...
My mom went to a stew-cooking-course and one of them used chocolate... Sounds very strange, chocolate in a meat-stew, but it was great...
I love cottage cheese and apple sauce... Or, lacking apple sauce, cottage cheese and apple BUTTER. Yes, it looks like lumpy liquid shit, but oh God, it tastes so good...
One of my uncles used to eat cheddar cheese spread with raspberry jam... Never tried it, myself. The worst combination I ever came across, though, was when I was still at school and got a holiday job as a washer up in an office staff canteen in Clapham. The chef used to eat curry and custard...
A "Radler" - a combination of beer and lemonade (from German, literally "the one for the bike" -- a beer that won't make you too drunk to ride). First had one in Munich then found that they're served here, too. There are few drinks more refreshing on a nice warm day.
SKIP AND GO NAKED Beer, gin, grenadine and lemon juice. I saw it on the drink list at the Brickskeller, thought it looked strange enough that I just had to try it, and it was really good.
