It's been said before, but it truly is the best Trek movie ever made.

More like, "I see you've managed to get your shirt off!"

Sorry, it's my favorite line in the movie. :rotfl:

Nick hadn't seen it until maybe a year ago. :soholy:

It's as bad as TKO and "Real Genius".

There's an idiot writer called Joe Queenan who persists in the delusion that it mocks Star Trek fans. He can't get his head around the concept of loving parody... :jayzus:
    Superb film, note-perfect cast. :D

It was decent, but it wasn't quite as brilliant as it could have been. The humor was tame, and it was clear that the studio toned down the language in a few places, editing Tommy's line "You're so full of shit, man!" and Gwen's "Fuck this!", which would have been much funnier. The movie needed to be a bit edgier with the humor and parody. Not bad, but not as good as it could have been.

^ I disagree. Making it edgier would've taken away from the gentle humor and turned it into a real slam of Trek and its fans. It's probably Tim Allen's best work and that includes Home Improvement.

I really thought it was pitch-perfect. A ton of funny lines and a lot of inside jokes for Trekkies. I can't wait for my son to get a little older so he can understand some of the humor — and then we can share it.

The blondness softens her up quite a bit.

As for the movie, best parody evah!

Tony Shalloub and the Tentacle Girl were the funniest parts of the movie. Them and Rickman.

    "Its ok, folks, he's British!"

They really need to make a sequel.

A sequel would have to have a parody of Nimoy and Shatner's Priceline commercial...

Or was it the Priceline commercial that was inspired by Galaxy Quest?

One of those oh-so-rare films where just about every aspect of it is perfect . . . cast, script, concept, execution, everything.
