Sadly, it's on opposite season 2, episode 3 of "Fear the Walking Dead", so I doubt many of us will see it.
I didn't see that ending coming but looking back they certainly spelled out that she had powers of illusion. I am beginning to think some of the storyline changes they made from the books actually improve the series by streamlining things.
How many dead characters was that in one hour? Sheesh! And HBO think they're NOT pissing people off by running trailers for other shows until 9:03?
Probably Tyrion. Who doesn't love a sarcastic drunken dwarf? And Arya. I have the hots for Daenarys, but her storyline has been stalled for like 4 years now.
How many dead characters in that ep? Well, let's see...Doran Martell, his body guard, and his son Tristan. About 5 or 6 "redshirts" who worked for the Boltons. I think that's about it, right? Did I miss someone? Those are only the newly dead, of course... So WTF was that with Melissandre? Is the old hag her natural form, and her usual hotness is all illusion? I guess that's how we're supposed to see it, but the scene confused me.
When she took off that necklace, the light in the red jewel went out. Then she...changed. I read somewhere else that the character could be as old as 400 years.
Well, that certainly killed my boner for the Red Woman! Also, how evil is Ramsey Bolton? Feeding his late side-chick to the dogs? Dayum! I guess they're trying to make him Joffrey v2, eh?
Definitely feels to me as if the show is getting better as it frees itself from the books. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode.
Well, she's probably not making it to 401. The show's been pretty strongly building towards her sacrificing her own life in some sort of magic ritual to resurrect Jon Snow.
OMG they killed Dr. Bashir! Those bastards! On the other hand, what was the point of him anyway. The usual slow burn, sped up a little in comparison to other season premieres. I really wish Brienne would climb the throne in the end. Her, Arya and Sansa really are the only characters in this show that's got some honor in them. But alas, it will be Yawnerys. Still, looking forward to a season full of girl power As for the Red Woman... I somehow knew this would happen. Did I imagine it or was something along those lines mentioned at some point? I'm really having a hard time following all those storylines in detail but that 'twist' didn't surprise me somehow. I guess it's the setup to her sacrificing herself for Jon. Also... what ever became of that monster she gave birth to in the cave? Did we meet it again or was it just to show that yes indeed, that's a real witch?
You best include Ser Davos on that list, 'cause otherwise them's fightin' words!!! I always took it as the shadow baby was just a one-time-use creation, to kill Renly, and once that was done the Red Magic that allowed it to exist was dissolved (or whatever)
I still hoping he turns out to be a secret Targarian. The books spell it out better but all the pieces are there.
Yes, the show has merged the Jorah character with the Ser Griff character from the books and infected him with gray scale. As the tv show has omitted fake Aegan and Jane Poole being passed off as Sansa by the Boltens this is a good compromise. I rather like how the tv show writers have emliminated some of the extra characters of the books yet managed to keep part of the plot lines by simply reusing characters who were already introduced.
