and? His uninformed opinion won't stop these soldiers from getting the medical attention they need. It's not like the doctors & nurses said "the president says you only have a headache, so adios! Don't let the hospital door hit you on the way out!" or anything. Sorry but I've had plenty of leaders with a "shake it off, you're fine!" attitude during my military time.

Is this a smart attitude? Most likely not, but many soldiers take pride in being able to "tough it out" when they are injured and expect their leaders to assume they can handle anything. Obviously the medical staff are "the cooler heads" and will take care of the soldiers as needed.

Not a sports fan, but I think quite a few coaches have a "shake it off you'll be fine" attitude when their athletes get their bell rung.

The medical experts are the ones that make the decisions as to the severity & treatment of their injuries - the president has no say in this other than to offer his opinions. The military has a lot of leaders that are full of bluster, bombast, and transparent macho posturing & bravado. You learn to tune it out and ignore it. You did serve in the military if memory serves or I may be thinking of Shooter. A lot of wordforge members have served, so if you did you know the drill on leaders that you wish would just shut up most of the time and just stick to the facts. Trump would be an example of one of those types of leaders.

no it's not. What the president says & does can have a great effect on the big picture. But we weren't talking about the big picture. Eleven people being medically evaluated for possible brain injury as a precaution is pretty serious stuff, but considering what was going on in the sandbox about twelve years ago? It kind of pales in comparison - but that's just my 2 cents.
