true - i use sodium bicarbonate every day!! (I make a toothpaste from mixing it with peppermint extract, mix it with water to fix acidity levels, use it as is to clean baths, basins, sinks, AND cook with it)

well i did on thursday - so i guess that counts. they had £1 sachets of ground strength 6 down in price to 25p so i grabbed 4 of them! i can add it to strength 4 or 5 to make it ideal for brekkie wake-me-up coffee!
