This could all work to MCaine's advantage.....people will get fed up with the Dems bickering and turn to the only alternative, MCaine.
^And the Dems wind up getting a half-cake instead of the whole. Not bad when 3/3 candidates range from slightly left of center to fully left.
Re: your signature Bock... [1] Would you say that the Civil Rights Movement produced worthwhile changes in America? and [2] Would you say that America was the greatest nation in world history even before said movement? Because if it's yes to both, then you would seem to agree with what Barack Obama said in that quote. Which would, of course, explain why you display it proudly under all of your posts
Well, to be perfectly honest, they were "throw-away" candidates. The Dems knew they didn't have the slightest chance of winning that election, but they had to have a campaign for president, or they would have lost everything else, too. (Too many people don't vote if the White House isn't on the line.) So they put up people who could lose because they had no serious political future anyway.
Do I really need to explain it to you or are you just being argumentative? This is the Red Room. Of course you are. On one level it's just a silly slip of the tongue. On another, it could be that he's a hypocrite - and funny to some on that level. I'm not telling anyone what to think with the sig but if you want to tell me I'm great, I'll take it.
But if Obama had said, "join with me as we try to make it even better" it wouldn't have raised an eyebrow.
