They did this in the cartoon and comics ages ago, and Annie Potts actually lobbied for it in a sequel, but the 90's and 00's came and went without Ghostbsuters 3, and she kind of gave up.

Annie Potts is an automatic positive. This one is getting a watch.

Annie Pott's bit of the Empire interview leaked out, and she says she's not gonna have a pack, but some other piece of tech.
I assume it'll be a proton pistol, like Kylie, or Holtzmann.

Yep; if you're quick with the pause on the first of the new trailers, she's got a gun that's halfway between a big pistol and a tiny rifle, and has a wristband mount/grip like the action figures.
It's right after Winston buckles his pack belt, right after Peter comments on Janine being suited up.

It looks to me that this movie is lore heavy and I like that.

Yep. Aside from the initial teaser, I haven't watched any other trailers because some of my friends are already being spoiled by them. I hate that shit.

I'm avoiding any trailers since the first since I'll try and see this in the cinema, but the sheer number of characters worries me.

Well hell, I was going to see Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire this week, only to find out our nearby theater won't have it because the whole damn theater shut down last week! That means that the nearest theater is 15 miles away. :/

Hop a flight to WPB and I will pick you up and we will go to the Cinemark or the really expensive theater where they servfe you desert and alcohol at your seat. We can take a ride around the airport and if the Trump plane is there we can moon it or something. We can drive by Scum-a-Lago while creepy still owns it before the lovely black lady AG takes it from his tiny little orange hands.
