It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of brawlers and there is no better brawler than the God of War franchise. Next March, the team at Sony Santa Monica Studios brings their feature franchise back to the PS3 with Gkd Of War: Ascension. This seems to be a prequel that will delve into the 10 years between the events of Kratos killing his own family under the service of Ares and him killing himself only to be saved by Athena to embark upon a journey to kill Ares himself and become the new God of War. Behold!! [yt=God Of War: Ascension Demo]j1QOCbAoRts[/yt] Braaaaaaains!! I don't think I've ever seen a video game look as good. The lighting is spectacular. What do you think?
So.... The Total Recall Blu-ray came with the playable single player demo above.... There has been talk of a closed beta that I was fortunate enough to acquire an access key to. I think I just got my pants pregnant. After about 8 hours of the competitive multiplayer combat brawler, I really believe Sony Santa Monica is on to something very special. It's very addictive and easy to pick up... And win!! In about 2-3 matches, was able to hold my own and even win some matches!!
The first 30 minutes of God Of War: Ascension!! [yt=God Of War: Ascension]pYJ4A53UziQ[/yt] I have never seen anything like this. The shadows and colors have such depth and nuance. This is definitely going to get some GOTY attention for 2013. Amazing!!
