Excellent news, I'm glad it's on the Wii. I hope they don't charge so much for songs like they're doing with the 360 version of GH2.

    Like $2 per song?

Yeah, it's a little much, but not too bad. Trust me, they're not going to get cheaper though.

Well, at about $2.08 per song, at this rate it would cost just under $100 to buy all the GH1 songs to play on the 360 version of GH2.

The original game was only about $40, so the cost per song would be about $0.85.

The second game has a considerably cheaper cost per song, about $0.56.

Well, I can't argue with a price drop really. :)

I wouldn't mind the price, if I could buy one song at a time... I don't like 3 packs, where there might be one song I want to download.

I finally invested a little time in Guitar Hero 2, I played straight through and beat it on medium tonight. I tried to play Shout of the Devil on hard and got my ass handed to me about 10 times in a row. The best I could get was 80% complete. This game is addictive and pretty damn hard, at least for me.

Yeah, same thing happened to me. Once I got it, I couldn't put it down.. played on through medium. Much more difficult on medium than easy, but so much more satisfying!

Though, I have carpal tunnel problems in my wrists so after a while, if I don't take a break.. I'm paying for it later.

I beat my first song on hard tonight. Of course it was just Shout of the Devil... I got 91% of Mother, I'm gonna go run it back a few times and see if I can beat that. My friend who is a very good guitar player in real life tried GH2 tonight for the first time, he's beating Sweet Child of Mine on hard as I type this. There is definately something to be said for having actual musical talent when it comes to skill level in this game. :shades:

My girlfriend can beat every song on expert up to, but not including, "Psychobilly Freakout", plus most of the bonus songs except "Jordan", and she's close to beating "Free Bird". She can often get a higher % on expert than I can on Medium in face-off. :(

EDIT: my girlfriend beat Jordan, and everything else except "Free Bird" yesterday on expert.

I've beat 7 songs on hard now... I keep getting about 55% on Message in a Bottle. It's that stupid 2nd chorus that gets me. The first one takes most of my power, and I recover from it about 75% of the way, the 2nd one leaves me with nothing left so when I slip up just a little bit it's too late. I just gave it about 10 tries and gave up because I was starting to get pissed off and I realized if it's not fun anymore it's time for a break.

Bah, I wasn too busy building my new PC this past weekend, to play GH. :(

And since I just got my copy of Vista today via FedEx, I'll have no time to play it tomorrow, either.

I've got this thing down now. I have 12 songs on hard beat in my career mode but in just quickplay mode I've beat at least 12 more. I beat Cherry Pie on Expert, that was my first expert song and it felt great. I went back and played a few songs on medium and I can't believe those were ever challenging to me. :D
