Come on Chup, stand up for your beloved Iranian butt buddies here. Get off your arse and start defending the indefensible.
I happen to know that Chup has condemned this barbarity. He is under no obligation to express that to Midnight Funeral or other idiots.
Yep, same here. Chup doesn't have to prove or defend anything, especially to twits like Midnight Funeral.
Chup would be crazy to defend such barbarism. But he did try to marry the ayatollah's daughter so maybe he is a bit mental.
Yeah, what the Iranian government did in this situation was complete bullshit. That said, the American government is currently trying to imprison a woman for 60 years for firing warning shots at her abusive husband, and some legislators are insisting that Stand Your Ground laws shouldn't apply to women defending themselves against their abusive partners.... so it's a bit harder to universally condemn Iran with a straight face here. In case you have no idea what I'm talking about: http://jezebel.com/marissa-alexander-faces-60-years-for-firing-warning-sh-1534779792 http://jezebel.com/south-carolina-prosecutors-stand-your-ground-isnt-for-1647208275
And once again you ignore that there is a lot more to the Marissa Alexander story then her one-sided story which you support without thinking. Should Marrissa Alexander go to jail for 60 years? No. But she's not the innocent wallflower she's leading you to think she is. Marrissa and her man got into an argument. During the argument Marrissa had ample opportunity to leave. She went into the garage, got her gun and supposedly fires a warning shot at her husband. The husband and his two kids leave and immediately call 911. Marrissa never calls 911. She does say the garage door didn't work but the police opened the door themselves the day of the shooting. It worked. The husband gave police a statement. Months late he changed his story to support Marrissa's side. Turns out he and Marrissa had violated court orders and where still in contact with each other and came up with a story for him to tell during his deposition to try and save her from trial. It didn't work. He eventually admitted to lying and said he begged and pleaded for his life when she had that gun. The fact that she and her husband had contact after she was arrested made her "stand your ground" defense look horrible in front of the judge. You're going to claim he tried to kill you so you shot at him but weeks later you're not only visiting him but you're actively working with him to deceive the court? It's no wonder the judge refused her stand your ground motion. On top of that while waiting for trial she assaulted her husband because he refused to let her stay the night at his house. She plead no contest to those charges. Marrissa was given the option of a 3 year sentence but she turned it down and a jury found her guilty. In 12 minutes. The evidence was overwhelming against her. The problem in her case isn't that she was convicted. She like her husband is an asshole. The problem is the length of the sentence. The whole mandatory sentencing takes away any discretion due to circumstances. Edit: Almost forgot..... If you fire a warning shot what are you saying? You're saying, "I'm not really in fear of my life"
Just to humour the retard, I confirm that I do indeed condemn this, and I have long made clear my opposition to the Iranian regime, including on here. Simply because I do not always align myself with some of the outright ignorance based lies that are told about the country doesn't mean I condone the state structure of what is essentially a dictatorship portrayed as a democracy. It is the innocent, everyday people of Iran that I defend....people just like this woman. I even activity support a charity offline, one set up by Iranians in London that helps to campaign against the human rights abuses committed by the regime and I am also a vocal advocate of women's rights for the country. I don't need lectures from a Daily Mail reading moron whose sole purpose is to post bigoted shit on the internet and then run into hiding. Liberal Iranians, particularly, are some of the most beautiful people I have encountered (and in my line of work I deal people all over the world), in all senses of the word. They are a people with a rich, interesting, vibrant and historical culture that extents far beyond Islam, and a sense of family, dignity and respect that far outweighs the behaviour of many modern westerners, not least scum like MF. I would not swap the lessons I have been taught through my experiences, nor the many Iranians I now call friends to ally myself with the likes of the OP, who is a disgrace to British values. The day that Iran manages to throw off the dark cloud of the Islamic theocratic regime will be a fine day indeed.
