Tried to wash off a bruise? I was looking and I had this little blue spot near my elbow. I was painting earlier today so I thought it was a spot I missed when I washing my hands. So here I am scrubbing away at this "paint spot" and then finally it registered that it was a little sore. And I was like OHHHH its a bruise. :duh:
Did she do that "grandma" thing where they spit on a napkin and forcibly clean your face? Damn I hated that.
My skin was a lot darker when I was a kid. Every morning my mam would tell me my face was still dirty and I had to go and wash it again.
I did the same thing a few weeks ago! I took the dog to the dog park. She played. There was a muddy spot, and a few rambunctious dogs were all muddy, and they ran right past me, and one had a stick in its mouth and whacked me in the calf on the way past. When I got home, I washed the caked mud off the back of my leg, and later noticed I'd missed a spot. So I tried to wash the missed spot off..... it went something like this: [action=CheekyMonkey]scrubs at the missed spot of "mud"*[/action] "ow." [action=CheekyMonkey]continues to scrub*[/action] "ow! why won't this spot come off?" [action=CheekyMonkey]scrubs a little harder*[/action] "fucking OW!" [action=CheekyMonkey]looks a little closer*[/action] "oh. that's not dirt. that's a giant bruise." * * "ow." It proceeded to turn various colors of blue/black/greenish/yellowish/purple over the next few weeks until it finally healed. But the feeling of stupidity still sorta remains. LOL
