    Hi guys,

I have bought a Tobii EyeX device to control the cursor with my eyes - more on the reason why later in the blue room. The only working computer I have is my Macbook pro for work, and I have bootcamp runnning windows 8.1 on it. However, it does not properly recognise my usb ports as 3.0. I confirmed on the mac side that they are indeed 3.0. In short: help!

Will opting into the free windows 10 solve my problems? Create new ones? I must get this device working, if at all possible, today. Any tips or useful links are greatly appreciated.

Just left home, BUT... Just realised I chose a more flexible USB cable than the one provided.. must have been a 2.0. Will test when home :)

Turned out that that was what the problem was. USB3 cable and it works. Except not with my mom :(

Unless you have a serous need for Bootcamp, or work is mandating it, use Parallels - in coherence mode you get full screen Windows. I've been a lot happier since switching over, no more reboots to flip between OSs, and I can use a golden image to bootstrap reinstalls and linked clones if I want to temporarily install software and rollback.
