I'm actually glad @Paladin hasn't given up on Trump yet. I'd hate for him to escape what happens to traitors to their country.

You have to realize that @Paladin, like most Trumpists, hates this country. Now they will never admit it, and most likely don't realize it, but they all hate America. They hate that it is multi-ethnic (and trending majority minority), they hate that it is urban (and trending more urban), they hate that it is liberal (and trending more liberal). They hate America Actual.

Instead they have some idealized past America that they worship. When everyone was white, rich and had their own 40 acres. The fact that this America never actually existed, but to the extent it did was on the back of women, minorities, immigrants and the poor, they ignore/don't care.

So who cares that Trump is selling out the current America? They hate current America and think it needs to wiped out yo be replaced with narrative America. If the Russians want to help, what's wrong with that?

I don't think Putin has anything on Trump. I think this is simply a perfect example of Trumps Oppositional Defiant Disorder or whatever its called. He hears a bunch of other politicians and experts saying how bad Putin is and he feels compelled to go the opposite way.

To his credit I don't think Paladin hates America. By his own admission he's just a FYGM Libertarian who sees the country as a tool to maximize his own personal gains.

Declaring the other side is motivated by animus is not the way forward. Changing minds by pointing out obvious and unavoidable truths is the way forward. Making the truth so prevalent that it is unavoidable even by people who wish to avoid it is the way forward.

And when they do admit the truth and cease working to support lies and treason against this country... Then they should be welcomed back into the fold as every person we gain makes victory against the traitors more certain.
